Our client, a highly regarded Bay Street law firm, is looking to add a Practice Counsel in securities and M&A law to join its strong Knowledge and Innovation team. This is a high impact role providing support to, and working with, lawyers in the capital markets and M&A practice groups. The main responsibilities include developing internal resources, communicating proposed and recent developments/trends, writing publications for clients, teaching in CLE programs, daily practice support to lawyers, and supporting business development initiatives. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to be in a non-practicing role doing sophisticated work with wonderful colleagues at a major law firm. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of transactional experience in a large law firm or in-house legal role, sound judgement, demonstrated project management ability, excellent technical skills, strong client service orientation, an aptitude for technology, excellent public speaking skills geared to a broad audience, and strong leadership, relationship building, collaboration, and consultation skills.
