Emerging/High Growth Counsel (5-10 yrs)
Our client, a new tech-driven law firm, is reinventing legal services from first principles. The firm pairs top-tier lawyers with AI automation to deliver elite legal work with fast turnaround, predictable pricing, and a better experience for clients and lawyers alike. Its founding team brings experience from frontier AI labs and leading law firms. <meta />This US based firm is making its earliest hires and is seeking an Emerging Companies Lawyer with 5–10 years of experience who wants to help build a new kind of law firm.
In this role you will advise the firm's growing roster of technology and high-growth clients across venture financings, commercial and technology contracts, M&A, and employment matters. You will also work with the firm's in-house engineers to design the technology that powers the firm's legal services, shaping how legal work get done.
The ideal candidates will have <meta />5–10 years of emerging companies or corporate/commercial experience at a leading firm and/or in-house, strong commercial judgment, clear communication skills, and enthusiasm for using technology to reshape legal service delivery.
This is a unique founding-stage opportunity to be an emerging companies lawyer in a start-up environment without the traditional billable hour model. Competitive compensation plus equity. Toronto-based hybrid role, three days per week in the office.
